MONAD is an eleven-minute immersive light sculpture. Lasers and Fresnel lenses trace evolving sacred geometry through dimensions, set to a soundscape derived from the natural harmonic series. Named for the Pythagorean symbol of ultimate totality, MONAD explores a journey of birth, discovery, and collapse through the universal language of mathematics.

MONAD is an eleven-minute immersive light sculpture. From a central column of light, lasers trace and animate geometric shapes across the space. As light shines up through two Fresnel lenses, the geometry shifts from the one dimensional to the three dimensional, until it finally culminates by moving to a dimension beyond our perception.

It is a journey of birth, discovery, and collapse, all told through the universal language of mathematics and shared symbols. A language used throughout human history to understand the universe we inhabit.

Building on the forms of sacred geometry, they multiply and evolve over time. Set against a soundscape that builds a dense backdrop of pitches, derived from the natural harmonic series, in which each note is an integer multiple of a fundamental frequency.

The title, MONAD, is taken from the Pythagoreans who described it as the beginning of logic or the totality of all beings.
